This inspirational retreat promises to be a lovely combination of excellent yoga, incredible Sound Bath and plenty of relaxation time that you can explore the nature and culture of this beautiful tropical island.

Vikasa Yoga Retreat was carefully selected as our location for this retreat as it provides an experience like no other in Thailand. Get ready to experience yoga and meditation at a beautiful ocean front yoga resort as well as fresh nutrition food.
This Sun and Moon Yoga retreat will offer twice-daily yoga and meditation within a beautiful private onsite yoga shala that located in the middle of beautiful tropical nature along with ocean sound in the background.

Through this retreat, you will also have access to an amazing ocean view fitness facility to extend your physical activities beyond yoga or just relax and enjoy the Vikasa’s secret beach, swimming pool or more healthy food/snack at Vikasa Life Cafe.

What is Sun and Moon practice?

Sun and Moon Yoga are the stages of Traditional Hatha Yoga that difference in each stage

Moon Practice
The beautiful practice toward our active life style. Moon practice includes standing and seating poses with a focus on conscious and pranayama to extend the exhalation. This is a deep, challenging and nourishing with longer hold the poses and aims to create a space in the place of stillness, calm and peace throughout the practice. Moon practice always focuses on pure conscious and mind.

Sun Practice
The more dynamic practice than Moon. Sun practice focuses on the energy 
management to deeper relationship to Prana the life energy that sustains us for the life time. Sun Practice is the perfect blended of Traditional Hatha and a nowadays Vinyasa Flow. Sun practice focuses on deep breathing, stretching, strengthening and Pranic energy .

Soundbath
The sound bath experience is about letting the sound take you to a deeper place
making it easier to arrive in a relaxed state without complicating how to get there. Sound is the vessel and it allows you to explore and identify what a meditative state is and how it feels. Because of this, a sound bath is not only beneficial for beginners of meditation, a seasoned meditator will find as many benefits.

Prie was introduced to yoga when he was searching for the way to cure his High Blood Pressure (Hypertension) and Obesity. After he practiced yoga, the result was not only no more High Blood Pressure but 40 KG of weight as well. A much better lifestyle and way of living both spiritual and physical body remained in their place. In addition, Yoga became his passion and he loves to exchange and share this wonderful journey and experience with everybody. Yoga has taken him to the world capital of yoga Rishikesh, India where he was qualified as a Yoga Teacher (Advance Yoga Teacher, RYT 500). Moreover, in his own travel as self-discovery he also had wonderful opportunities to practice and share yoga with others in many countries around the globe.

Alisa:

Alisa was inspired by her first yoga teacher and instantly fell in love with the with yoga’s focus on the breath and natural harmony with smooth movements. She believes that through yoga she has embarked upon a wonderful journey of learning and discovery of her true self and this has allowed her to develop this beautiful harmony in mind, body and spirit. Her compassionate caring nature shines through the yoga studio where she shares this experience and passion in her classes. She has a genuine and deep connection with nature and additional experience and certifications with Anti-Gravity Training One Star Instructor Trainer 2012. Certified 200 hours Yoga Teacher Training from Vikasa 2013. Certified 100 hours Advance Yoga Teacher Training from Vikasa 2014. She also has been assistant Yoga Teacher for Sajeeva Yoga Teacher Training in Yangon in 2017. She happily shares this yoga style and passion with her students in order to fulfill her dream of supporting others as they achieve greater peace, strength, awareness and mindfulness. When you go deeper in your breath and move deeper in your pose, you reconnect yourself with your soul”

Ann:
Yoga first touched my heart deeply and changed my life over 10 years ago. Since then it has given me even greater pleasure to share my knowledge with others. I completed my initial teacher training certificate in Vinyasa style at Bangkok Yoga School in 2012. I then visited Rishekesh, India in 2013 where I learnt Hatha style at the World Yoga Alliance In 2014. I completed a Hot Yoga Teacher Training Course at Absolute Yoga Academy, Koh Samui and continue to seek opportunities to learn new techniques and practice. I look forward to see you all very soon.
