Learn to flow with Dru Yoga with Balbir (a qualified Dru Yoga and Meditation teacher) on this beautiful resort on the island of Koh Samui, Thailand. 


Dru Yoga is a graceful and potent form of yoga, based on soft flowing movements (as in Tai Chi), directed breathing and visualisation. With its foundations set firmly in ancient yogic tradition, Dru works on body, mind and spirit to rejuvenate one’s whole being. 

Dru Yoga is designed to be practised by people of all abilities, all fitness levels and all age groups, Dru is a style of yoga that can be quickly dipped into or learnt in more depth over a lifetime.

How your day will look like? 

Starting each day with a session activating the body with some gentle movements, moving onto some Energy block releases, followed by Prana Kriyas*, relaxation and Meditation.

*Prana Kriyas – These are movements used to activate and balance your life force – helping you to feel great physically, emotionally and mentally.  These subtle energy based movements are key in creating the perfect internal environment for meditation and maximum benefits.

We will then have a little break and then carry on our morning session of Dru yoga.

Relax and have a healthy nourishing brunch buffet in the café, and spend your days relaxing on the beach or by the infinity pool; enjoying incredible Thai massages or exploring this beautiful island with its temples, waterfalls and lush jungle.  

In the evening return to the Yoga Shala for another session of Dru and some restorative yoga followed by a longer Deep relaxation before enjoying a nutritious dinner of beautiful fresh Thai food and juices.  The evening is then yours – either heading off to a night market, indulging in enticing cocktail/s or simply relaxing in your room.


23rd July – Arrival day.

Arrival at Vikasa is recommended before 3pm to give yourself time to settle in and explore the beautiful retreat space.

4.30pm – We meet in our Shala for a welcome circle, for an introduction to Dru yoga, to  each other and to celebrate the beginning of our retreat! We will then continue for some gentle Dru yoga to stretch from the journey to the resort followed by a Deep Relaxation.   From 6.30pm – Head up to Vikasa Life Cafe (in the main communal area where you checked in) for a delicious dinner, served until 8.30pm.

24th – 29th July – Full days (6 days)

06:00am – 08:30am – Dru Yoga & Meditation
09:30am – 11:30am – Brunch at Vikasa Life Cafe
11:30am – 04:30pm – Free time
04:30pm – 06:30pm – A blend of gentle Dru and Restorative yoga, concluding with deep relaxation
06:30pm – 08:30pm – Dinner at Vikasa Life Cafe

Balbir practises and teaches Dru yoga in London. She has been practising yoga since 1999 exploring different styles (Kundalini, Yin, Restorative, Ashtanga and Hot yoga) finally qualifying as a Dru yoga teacher in 2012 and as a Dru meditation teacher in 2014. Dru yoga (also known as “yoga of the heart” is what she is now very passionate about and loves to pass it on as much as she can through classes and workshops. Along with teaching she continues her yoga journey and is currently on an Advanced Dru Meditation and Yoga Practitioner Course with some amazing Dru Yoga Tutors.
