SUNRISE MEDITATION

The early morning hours and the sunrise itself are the most influential environmental factors in achieving a balanced consciousness, say the prevailing traditional yoga schools. This is also a natural sense to the rhythm of life. Unique to every individual, this program is 5 mornings of sunrise meditation with Vikasa resident teacher trainer George Anthony who will teach you different concepts and exercises of meditation each day, starting with the sunrise itself.

GOALS

You will be lead deep into new perspectives to apply to your meditation practice and experience and also, an even deeper transformational development in your present experience practicing these concentration exercises taught. The result is to live a more clairvoyant life in a state of peace and coherence with yourself and your environment, free-er from regret and anxiety. This is happiness. Meditation and working directly on your mental awareness and consciousness is the best remedy and pain relief for many of life’s obstacles and challenges and gives a sense of unshakeable purpose in life.

SCHEDULE

  • 5:15AM Meet up Time
  • 5:30AM – 7:30 Sunrise Meditation

In the event of inclement weather there will still be sunrise time meditation session which can be done in Vikasa’s practice halls, the ocean deck, or even in your own room. In such cases George will establish contact with you and still appear at 5:15am for meet up and follow from there.

TEACHER

George Anthony has been teaching yoga for over 6 years in Thailand and has been a teacher trainer with Vikasa Yoga school for over 3 years. He has studied and practiced yogic methods and philosophy for meditation, Tibetan Buddhism, and received Shaktipat through the Siddha Yoga Path meditation group. He also studies sacred geometry and creates beautiful works of art for meditation.
