Golden Chia Jar Recipe


This delicious Golden pudding is full of natural antioxidants, energizers and detoxifiers that not only taste delicious but make you feel fantastic as well! Straight from our kitchen at Vikasa Life Cafe, enjoy this recipe with friends (it makes four puddings!) or keep it all to yourself!

Chia Layer

Blend well in blender to make Golden milk:

  • almond milk – 500 g
  • turmeric powder – 11 g / 4 teaspoons
  • chopped ginger root – 12 g
  • liquid coconut sugar (honey) – 30 g
  • black pepper – 1/8 teaspoon
  • vanilla extract – 1/2 teaspoon / 3 g
  • salt – 1/4 teaspoon

Put 90g of Chia seeds in a medium sized bowl. Pour in Golden milk and wait for about 15 minutes until it thickens. Stir occasionally. When ready, transfer the mixture to jars or cups (about 160 g per jar).

Put the jars into freezer and keep there until chia seeds layer will become firm enough to put coconut cream on top!

Coconut Cream Layer

Blend well in blender until smooth and creamy:

  • coconut milk – 160 g
  • coconut meat – 140 g

Put coconut cream layer on top of chia seeds layer (about 70 g per jar). Put jars again back in freezer until top of coconut cream will become firm. While coconut cream is hardening up in freezer, make the Goji – Orange topping.

Goji - Orange Layer

Blend well in blender until smooth and creamy:

  • orange juice – 200 g
  • golden raisins – 55 g
  • psyllium – 2 teaspoons
  • lime juice – 2 teaspoons
  • ginger root – 1/2 teaspoon

Transfer mixture to a bowl or container. Add 1/3 cup (30 g) of goji berries and stir. Let set for about 30 – 40 minutes to thicken. When ready, put on top of coconut cream layer (about 70 g per jar).
