Join Senior Astanga Teacher Sarah Vaughan and registered Yoga Therapist Becky Pell on this week-long retreat to feel revitalised and energised, and deeply rested and restored. Both healthy and indulgent, this is a chance to profoundly nourish yourself whilst deepening - or perhaps beginning - your yoga practice. Our days begin with sunrise meditation, followed by an Astanga yoga practice supported by both teachers. In the late afternoon we come together for a deeply relaxing class which combines slow Hatha, Yin and Restorative yoga practices with guided meditations and Yoga Nidra. Optional afternoon workshops are also offered. A delicious, healthy, locally produced vegetarian and vegan brunch and dinner are included throughout your stay, and additional refreshments are available all day.

SARAH VAUGHAN

Find Your Balance Yoga Retreat 2Sarah Vaughan is a Senior Astanga Yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance Professionals. She is a dedicated practitioner with over 20 years experience committed to teaching in a sensitive, inclusive and responsive way. Daily practice has given her the insight and wisdom to support a yoga community of teachers and students and she is the main teacher and director of her studio The Yoga Hutch opened in 2005.

She began her yoga journey as a quiet refuge for her body and mind and continues to find vitality and peace on the mat and share the experience with everyone who comes to practice with her. Amongst her training and inspiration she is grateful to teachers such as John Scott, Manju Jois, Nadia Narain (pregnancy teacher training) and Kia Naddermier and works closely with Scott Johnson at Stillpoint Yoga London every week. Sarah teaches with integrity to the Astanga lineage, and hosts workshops, retreats and mentors new teachers. Her teaching style is warm, clear and inspiring, offering space for personal exploration and transformation.

BECKY PELL

Find Your Balance Yoga Retreat 3Becky Pell is a Yoga Australia registered Yoga Therapist (accredited by British Council for Yoga Therapy) and internationally recognised Yoga Teacher (YTT500).

Yoga Therapy is the targeted application of yoga techniques in a one-to-one or group setting, to address specific complaints and improve the individual’s overall quality of life. Becky works with the physical, mental, emotional, energetic and spiritual wellbeing of the whole person, to bring all aspects into greater balance and to inspire and empower clients with their own personal yoga toolkit for life.

Becky has also been a professional sound engineer since 1995, touring worldwide with high-profile bands and artists including Westlife, Muse, Kylie Minogue, Take That, and A-ha. During that time she fell in love with yoga, and after years of her own dedicated practice she travelled to Bali to train as a teacher with Santosha Yoga Institute so that she could share yoga’s life-changing magic with others. After teaching for several years and returning to Bali for her 500 hour training, she trained at Yogacampus in London over a three year period to graduate with honours as a Yoga Therapist.

When she’s on the road with bands, Becky teaches yoga and meditation and provides yoga therapy to the artists and musicians she tours with. Between tours she leads workshops and retreats, and offers private yoga therapy and coaching consultations at her home in Queensland, Australia. She is a published writer, with articles featured in magazines such as Australian Yoga Journal and Live Sound International. Forever a student, her dharma is to share what she has learnt to inspire, empower and help her clients find freedom in all aspects of their lives.

Becky and Sarah met (on the mat!) about 11 years ago. Becky came and went with her nomadic working life and pull towards her new love and home in Australia but their friendship only grew stronger. They have been running retreats together for three years and love to share the balance of vital energy and deep peace evident within each of them. A week of retreat gives you the time and space we so need to establish and integrate the teachings of yoga and carry them forwards into your lives.
